Flashdance was the second musical of the season for the third year musical theatre students at Performance Preparation Academy, rehearsed in tandem with Legally Blonde.

This version of the show took inspiration from the closure of factories and the relocation of labour to places like Mexico which occurred during the Trump administration, and the devastating impact this had on the surrounding communities. The students focused on their personal connection to the power of art and passion.
